Is the Lions in Downturn?

Is the Lions in downturn?” Not at the moment, I think that they are just unfamilar with the weather conditions in the Middle East & Central Asia. In order to familarise & able to adapt to the countries that Singapore going to face in any tournament, the national team ought to be in the country at least 48 hours. To bring “The Lion” to another level, they should play with European teams more often when the European Leagues such as Italian Serie A & Dutch Eredivsie have ended.

Having Foreign players who have accepted Singapore citizenship is good, but they can only bring instant success. In long run,we should attached some of our promising young players for a short training attachment with the European teams like AC Milan & Ajax Amsterdam. Here is one good suggestion, FAS should form a Street soccer league for the Under-12 & Under-16 since there are so street soccer courts in Singapore.

Let the young Singapore develop their technical skills like the Brazilian. So that one day Singapore can make their debut in World Cup & become one of the powerhorse team in Asia.
